We are a congregation of the United Reformed Churches in North America (URCNA), a federation of churches committed to proclaiming the gospel of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone.

ECUMENICAL CREEDS

The Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed are ancient statements of Christian faith that summarize essential biblical teachings. They were formulated by the early church to confess core doctrines, including the Trinity, the deity of Christ, and salvation. The creeds provide unity in belief, guard against heresy, and connect believers across time and traditions. And they’re still valuable for us today, rooting us in historic, biblical Christianity, helping us articulate our faith, and reminding us that we’re not the first Christians. We stand in a long tradition of believers who confess Christ together.

THREE FORMS OF UNITY

The Three Forms of Unity—the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dort—are foundational Reformed confessions that summarize what the Scriptures teach. Written in the 16th and 17th centuries, they defend the authority of Scripture, the sovereignty of God in salvation, and the comfort of the gospel. Like the creeds, they unify us in sound doctrine, provide clarity on essential theological issues, and guard against error. These confessions remain valuable today as they help us understand and apply biblical truth, connect us to the historic Reformed faith, and equip us to live and worship with confidence in God’s Word.
